Scunthorpe and Shrewsbury have bids turned down for Luton's Ruddock

The Iron are one of two League One club's to have a deadline day bid for Luton's versatile Pelly Ruddock turned down.

Sports journalist Pete O'Rourke announced the news via his twitter account, shortly after 16.30.
Whether United will go in with a follow-up bid is yet to be seen, but with time ticking away on deadline day, it seems highly unlikely.

Ruddock is described as a midfielder that can play in defence on his wikipedia page, and has made over 100 appearances for the club.
